4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement
The Michigan 4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDIC) is available for drivers who want to remove points from their driving record. Eligible drivers have 60 days after receiving a violation to complete the course. It’s also available for drivers who want to prevent automobile insurance rates from increasing.
The 4-Hour BDIC includes four 50-minute sections and a final exam. The minimum passing score is 80%.
Please note that BDIC completion is a requirement before you can get a learner’s permit. We automatically send an electronic report to the Michigan MVC after you complete the course.
