4-Hour First Time Driver Course + Learner’s Permit Exam + Learner’s Permit Prep Exam

Getting a learner’s permit and then a driver’s license is a big step in a young person’s life. Driving comes with many benefits but also many responsibilities. Before you are eligible to take the Florida Learner’s Permit Exam, you’ll have to complete our 4-Hour First Time Driver Course, also known as the Drug and Alcohol Course, START or DATA. This four hour course is designed to educate new drivers about safe driving and is state approved by the Department of Highway Safety Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) in Tallahassee, Florida. Don’t stress, you can pause the course whenever you need to so you won’t have to block out four hours of time to complete it. 

Once you’ve successfully completed the 4-Hour First Time Driver Course course, it is time to prepare for the Permit Exam! Our Learner’s Permit Prep Exam has been designed and refined over the years to prepare you for success on the final exam. You’ll get a feel for the format and subjects of the questions on the final exam and be ready and confident to get your Learner’s Permit by the end of the prep exam.

The final step to getting your permit is passing the Learner’s Permit Exam with a score of 80% or higher. Students who have taken our Learner’s Permit Prep Exam are typically more successful than students who have not taken a prep exam. *Please note: You must be under the age of 18 years old to take the test online. Also, if you have already taken and failed the permit test 3 times at the DMV or Online, do not continue with your registration. You will need to take it in person at the DMV.
