The state of Michigan allows eligible drivers to complete a Basic Driver Improvement Course, BDIC, to keep traffic violation points from being added to their driving record and prevent their auto insurance rates from increasing. If your citation qualifies for the course, the Secretary of State will mail you a letter regarding which steps to take next.
